The UK Clearing House Mechanism (UK CHM) provides easy access to information about how the United Kingdom (UK) implements the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), its Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and the Aichi Biodiversity Targets. Ultimate responsibility for ensuring the UK fulfils its commitments as a Party to the CBD lies with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in the UK Government. This is shared with the devolved Governments for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales and with those governments of the Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies to which the CBD has been extended. The UK CHM explains how the different Governments and their respective public bodies work together within the UK Post-2010 Biodiversity Framework.
