Unlike Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales,
England has no devolved national government. The
relevant Departments of UK Government
are responsible for English affairs, as well as for their overall
UK remit. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural
Affairs has three non-departmental public bodies with
responsibilities for England, including those for the delivery of
biodiversity conservation policy to meet the objectives and targets
of the CBD Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020.
This stakeholder group oversees the
development and delivery of the England Biodiversity Strategy.
It is chaired by
Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
